Stylish and charming

Our hosts could not be more charming and welcoming. We stayed in the main house in a beautifully proportioned room, oozing its 1850s character. Bathroom linen from Mungo was exquisite. The breakfast was perfect, very fresh and beautifully presented. We would highly recommend Dennehof and we will return.

Great return visit

This was my second visit to this delightful Bed &Breakfast. Well done Albert and Inga for making my stay delightful. The breakfast is superb and well served by super staff. Albert and Inga are always at hand with tips to give help on what to do during the day and useful tips on dining arrangements. Hope to see you next year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept children?

We welcome all children over six years of age.

Are you pet friendly?

As much as we love all animals we unfortunately do not allow outside pets onto the property, our two Ridgies, Ella and Ferdinand, would have their noses completely out of joint.

What are your check in and check out times?

Check-in is between 14:00 and 18:00, check-out is 10:30 on the morning of departure.

Are you self-catering?

Our units have fridges and tea/coffee stations but are not equipped for preparing food.

Can we braai or barbeque?

To avoid inconveniencing other guests, the braai/barbeque area can only be used by groups that have booked the entire guesthouse. This is also dependent on Dr Who, our resident owl – should he be in position in the pepper tree above the area, we discourage use of fires in his space.

Do you serve meals?

We serve a bespoke breakfast in a glorious setting, but no other meals. You are welcome to buy cheese, charcuterie, and wine in town and we will happily provide a tray with crockery and cutlery should you wish to sit on one of our decks or other lovely seating nooks for a light lunch or dinner.

Do you accept outside guests for breakfast?

If we are not fully booked with inhouse guests, we will happily accommodate outside breakfast guests with a pre-booking up to 12 hours in advance.

How many guests can your rooms accommodate and how are the rooms configured?

We have eight rooms that comfortably sleep two adults each. Our Windmill Room has a sleeper couch for one or two (small) children, and we can add a day bed to Cottage Room for a child. Cottage Room and Dairy Room have an inter-leading door which can open up to create a two-bedroom, two-bathroom family unit.

Five of our rooms can also be configured with twin beds, our default setting is king XL beds, except in Forge Room which is a smaller space with a Queen XL bed.

Do you have a swimming pool?

We have a beautiful pool which is small in size to keep with our sustainability ethos in a water scarce region, but big enough to keep all our guests cool on hot summer days.
